Redox Electrode

It is measured in mV.

• Redox measurements are carried out by a chemical reaction that produces an electrical potential which is read by a special sensor called an electrode.
• Electrodes are active elements of limited duration and must be periodically calibrated with known solutions (buffer solutions, in this case 460 mV ORP solution is usually used). These electrodes are of the combined type (Measurement + Reference) and are classified according to their chemical and physical properties that make them suitable for multiple applications.

The following elements should be considered when choosing an electrode:

• Measuring range.
• Temperature.
• Pressure.
• Chemical substances present in the process and type of assembly in the system.

Characteristics of the ORP electrode or ORP probe.

• Minimum conditions: 50 µS.
• Maximum temperature: 60ºC.
• Maximum pressure: 7 bar.
• Connection: 1.5 m. + BNC cable.
• Material: Epoxy.
• Diameter x length: 12 x 120.
